The World's Finest


  • 900g/2lb Onions, sliced
  • 3 Cloves Garlic, crushed
  • 4 tbsp Soft Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black peppercorns

Onion Relish


  1. Put all the ingredients into a deep pan with 100ml/ 4 floz of water.
  2. Bring to the boil, and then reduce to simmer.
  3. Cover & cook for 30 – 40 minutes until the onions are soft.
  4. Remove the lid 7 bring to the boil stirring until it thickens.
  5. Store in sterilized jars.
